CLIVE AND DIANE HADDOW ON THE MOVE

In the “Garden of Eden”

Now in Eden – on the border of NSW and Victoria. No apple eating allowed here!! We leave on Sunday to go to Lakes Entrance. The plan is to be there for 4 days before moving on to our house sit in Woodend.

Our campsite in Eden

We did a long cycle today from Eden through to Merimbula. Enjoyed the exercise as yesterday was raining all afternoon so Di and I watched videos!!

One of our many diners who decided to venture in the van to get food.

Before the rain came in we had a magical lunch on the beach. Eden has great seafood so we had Mateus Rose with Prawns and Oysters. The beach is only 2o metres from our camp site. We had the entire beach to ourselves – just wonderful!

Part of our lunch on the beach

Our cycle took us through some wetlands and all the way through to Merimbula. We are off to a hotel called “The Seahorse Inn” . It is only about 400 metres from our caravan park.

Sea Horse Inn - Eden

It is an old building that has been restored – very much a “boutique” hotel.

Beach lunch - Prawns and Oysters washed with Rose

The coastline from Sydney to the NSW/VIC border is very nice with lots of lovely spots. This coastline is a mix of UK/Arlie beach/Yeppoon and a few other places!!
We have just watched the news and apparently we are due to get the worst storm and flooding in a decade!!! Unbelieveable!!! If you have read previous Blog Posts we certainly are the RAIN GODS!!  “BATTEN DOWN THE HATCHES”
We might decide to stay another night in Eden and wait for this storm to pass.
See you later – IF WE MAKE IT THROUGH THIS STORM!
