Gunnedah and Lake Keepit

We had a great day today went for a drive out to GUNNEDAH and then on to lake KEEPIT.

The people in Tamworth use this lake a lot for boating etc really pretty(about 50km from Tamworth)

We also drove through a little place called Manilla – nothing much in Manilla, but we did notice the Bank of NSW – what a nice looking building – looked a little out of place in the small town.

Di and I had a lovely BBQ at the lake – sure would be a good place to write as there are no distractions. A little cold but it was a nice day anyway.

By the way we had dinner at a placed called Calala last night.

The food was very nice but I wanted to show you Diane’s Boots –

Talk about getting into the swing of things – you can’t tell the difference between the locals and Diane!!

  1. This was the only place in Australia (to date) where I’ve had to don my over-head fly net! The flies were so annoying, and Gail reminded me about a “useless” gift that someone had given me prior to our departure.
Like the boots Di. At home we refer to them as F….Me Boots……….Sorry! Clive needs a pair too!!!
